Threats
Iran

Iran has become one of the major proliferators of weapons and technology to terrorist organizations. Iran’s continued and open development and refinement of ballistic missile technology poses a serious threat to both the Middle East and Europe. Currently, Iran is pursuing a civilian nuclear program, which is shrouded in mystery, that could have possible military applications. This uncertainty, coupled with Iran’s rhetoric involving their nuclear program gives the world cause for concern.

North Korea

Since the end of the Korean War, North Korea has continued to maintain one of the most isolated societies in the world. This isolation has led to many intelligence discrepancies regarding their ballistic missile and nuclear weapons programs. North Korea is known to possess nuclear weapons and is known to have a very active ballistic missile development program. Due to this lack of intelligence and known ballistic missile and nuclear weapon tests, North Korea is one of the predominant threats to global stability.
